Well done Ford, it is a very worthwhile cause and it will hopefully come back in the form of positive media.

Didn't Ford also stump up with cars for the appeal? It is probably best not being broadcast on trash tv, because they would trivialise the generousity and civic conscience; somehow inferring they instigated the whole thing. Good on Ford.

I assumed they would be FG utes, even though they would be useless in the bush. I guess the reason I assumed they were FG's is becuase they would have cost ford alot less than 4WD diesel utes.

Well done ford!

Not only did they stump up cars, but they donated a sum of money, very privately. Ford didn't want the lime light (that Holden got), and were happy to donate cars publicly, and money privately.

A good move in my mind.

Huh? Did you even read it? it was only a couple of lines.... :togo:

"Ford President Marin Burela will present CFA Chairman Kerry Murphy with the keys to four Ford Ranger 4WD diesel utes at Kilmore on Thursday afternoon.

Well Done Ford, good to see you giving even in these hard times

You would think Holden might donate a couple of Pontiac G8's, they may as well be used for something, maybe someone could light them and the cfa can practice putting fires out?

Also CFA members get good discounts on Ford cars. So Ford have been helping the CFA out for a long time.

Actually i just thought about it - another fundraiser, Cruise to where they are handing the cars over, at the same time hand over the dosh! Donations are made for those who need it and its also Good publicity for both Ford and the car enthusiast culture imo
