Why? Its not as if they have your Credit Card number. Most of us have voted with our feet and moved to FFA but no reason not to look at FF.

Maybe this shake-up will make it into a new and different place. I'm happy with FFA its my Ford home, but despite all that has gone on I wish FF well and may look in once in a while.

I have been having a looksee on the other forum now and then to check on our club site and all has been fairly quiet.

Just wondering how many people kept the same password from that site to this? I had the same one but then it was 'suggested' by someone to change it for security reasons...good idea :Up_to_som

Whilst the consequences aren't the same as sharing your handybank PIN, I'd suggest a different password. I am pretty sure the vBulletin passwords are encrypted and cannot be easily read (even by OP's) but its better to be safe than sorry. Usually OPS can change your password or delete it but not read it. But nothing is so secure it cant be broken. (unlikely though)
You wouldn't want bogus xrgran posts now would you!

I would think permanent ban is possible.
Don' see the point though. I like the site & i like this site, I Like that i can say that on this site and not get in trouble.
It may eventually become an American ford site though. There's already a heap of new US members asking what E-series trucks are and are they like F-series trucks.

For god sake dont use the same password..

There are some angry narrow minded people who will try anything!

Always use Numbers, Letters in your password

I dont want there to be bad blood either

I think that alot of people will post on both until they make a choice of where they want to live permantly.

Either way, here, there both, the main thing is that you have fun, feel part of the community, respect others, and if you have a gripe - back it up with facts.

I have a renewed energy for the Ford community, and so do the rest of the mods and admins here, hope you feel the same.

Gary

I also see no point in de-registering, just don't post there. It still is not a bad idea to go between the two as there will still be vailable info to be gained from there.

Like wise, but to be honest to me it seems a difference of opinon between moderators and administrators, So to us general hacks it shouldnt make much difference. Just choose which one feels most comfortable.
I personally dont have any beef with anyone from either sites

It was a more than just Admin scuffles, a lot of us regular joe punters felt treated with contempt too. I don't know all that went on but made my mind up with the way I saw others treated.
But all that is in the past, AFF is rising from strength to strength, it feels like home. The mods have made a huge effort to involve the community and make them feel welcome that is why AFF is growing and why its alive and buzzing.

All the bitching about FF is sounds like the bitching of bitter ex's after a divorce no-one else wants to hear it. Dont like it dont go there. Seperations can be ammicable, even friendly, if both parties behave like adults.

Just stop going there and wait until they eventually go through and purge all lapsed or inactive members.

Thanks for all your advice. My major beef with John Lunatic was his arrogance, if he didn't agree with you he would rubbish a person, sort of a dictatorial person in a way, and the way he got rid of the previous moderators after all the years of hard work that they put into FordForums, especially Minge who i know personally. So these are my reason's.
It's full steam ahead with the new FordForums.com.au and looking forward to it.
Cheers John
