Rang Ford credit today to make an enquiry on my loan. Was told that as of 31/12/09 Ford Credit is gone. New company takes over first week of January. She wouldn't tell me who the new company is, only that i will receive a letter in due course.
We all know they recenlty stopped taking new loans and pretty much told Ford dealers to bugger off and find someone else to finance their sales. Looks like another 100 or more jobs lost from an Aussie(?) company.

Interesting seeing as they were the only ones to get a bailout ($230m of taxpayer monies) from Canberra under the Oz car scheme before it was wound up..

Real clever that. Just in time to ensure that no one can buy a car and get the 50%.
Ford Credit, the reason why I did not buy a new F6-E....... |

Find another credit provider and go buy your F6-E.. Every dealer has there own Finance, whether it be St George or Esanda now. Ill happily finance you a F6-E.. Find a car and get me an invoice.. I know of a white one in brisbane i can supply you.

The main 2 providers now for Floor Plan and Retail are Esanda and St George.. Some of us are still using Westpac to do the Retail but they wont do Floor plan as they already own St George.

Now just find a way to short term the current contract on my 350Z without paying it out in full including all future interest. If you can do that, and so far every single F&I guy I have passed this to has not been able to attain a good result, then you may get a job. Strangely every single one of them said exactly what you said and every single one of them ended up the same. This is not the first new car I have bought..... |

Its not stopping you buying another car, its just implicated it. The way you made that sound was that no one could walk into a Ford dealership and finance a car.

Bfiipursuit, you can finance me a new car if you like
I remember a thread detailing about how ford credit was winding up, that was the first I knew ford even did finance. I'd always assumed esanda or St George covered it all unless you went private

This happened quite some time ago, pretty sure MacQuarrie has taken on all of their contracts.

Ford credit has been gone for over 6 months, they have merged with the same finance company as toyota use for there finance. There is no difference if you have a ford credit loan you will find it exactly the same
