Hey guys, just seeing if anyone on here knows of people that have already auditioned on the australian 'think u can dance'

Just seeing how long they had to line up for.

And if they went through, did they have to go interstate etc?

More second rate Australian reality TV. Don't get me wrong I'm a patriotic Aussie but our TV stuff is crap, just look at our so called top dramas, All Saints, Homicide, Patrol Boat and now we copy all this reality rubbish.

last time i checked, i didnt live in a house with 15 strangers that get booted 1 by 1, while some are attempting to sing and win a recording contract that is written to make money for the show execs only, and the rest are having a dance comp. to win a job in an industry that they will never be heard of again...
ohh, maybe i live in a make-believe land and that IS real life??

bring back real TV shows IMHO, and can this absolute sheet.

Plus the "Old Dish" on the roof , TonkoXR8 , but they're getting Very "Commercialised" these days (if there's such a word) .

Anyone notice Nine/WIN repeat programs 2-3 times a day ? surely there's enough good programs available without doing that . Sat. TV you expect it , but not on FTA .

Don't know how reliable it is , but aparrently TEN made $8M out of SMS voting on one "BB" series , Oh , it must be right , it was on TV

So , sit back and be ready for lot's more " Reality/SMS voting" , rehashed US copy type shows . Good way to make $$$$ , Advertising + SMS = Multi $$$

Matey dont be discouraged by the comments in here ;)

I would expect you would have to go interstate depending on where the show is taped. Going by the auditions they show on the TV shows I would imagine you would need at least a day off work .........

Good luck if you do decide to audition & let us know ....... my kids are into all of these shows so I will keep an eye out for you :P

Unfortunately for the most of us who are not into these shows the likes of my kids keep the ratings going so the shows are still on :P

My missus watches the US show weekly, and I get whinged at if the channel changes, so it's a quick u-bolt into the study and the Pc (or anywhere the dancing show isnt seen or heard)

There's some absolute rubbish on telly now, along with that singing bee, smarter than a 5th grader, bring back Milo Kerrigan and Full Frontal

: My daughters follow all this.they heard it will probaly be televised from Sydney.I watched Stoner win another round.

alcohol doesnt effect me when it comes to attempting to dance...... heck, add enough alcohol and i cant manage to get off the back of a truck without going c**t up......

Please don't take offence at my above post . I couldn't Dance to save myself , but being a Muso , I admire people who Can Dance .

If it wasn't for people dancing I would have "missed out" on 30 yrs enjoyment.

To the fellas that were interested on this topic, I thought i'd post up how the day was.

Firstly to those who want to heavily critisize my dance clip, i'd like to see if u can do better =)

anyway. I only went into this competition to just have fun and i knew i wasn't going to get through anyway because im restricted with the same dance movements.

And the australian auditions are different to the American ones this time. I think it was the same place as Aussie idol But, there were no cameras inside the auditioning room. IT was just some basic judges to filter out the Excellent from the average and CRAP and those make it onto TV and present themselves infront of the REAL judges.

And to those people who turned up in clown outfits obviously wasted their time, as I'm not sure howd they'd make it to tv.

anyhow I had to wait 5 hours before i could strut my 30 seconds out.
but the only words they said to me, was "NEXT".
and the people they chose to go through were ones who had strong, big movements that took over the dance floor which i don't have.

I think it will air on tv NExt year in Jan or Feb. The clothes i'm wearing in this video clip, was what i wore on the day. I was in some promo dance shots.
In the back of the crowd doing star jumps and waving my FPV cap around, when the tv host was presenting the intro of the tv series.

and the TOP of the "D" when we were spelling out the word "DANCE" on the grass.

I agree with most of the people here, in that I hate reality TV, not a fan of dancing or any of that, but ya know what?! Fckn Good on ya!!
Shame ya didn't get in, We coulda got a B-Series slogan on a shirt or something :P
