google might help. The type of image you'd need to create a moving avatar would end with a .gif extension. maybe google "(image you're after) gif" and see what comes up?

Just remember there are size and space limits, i think 100x100 and 30kb respectively (or 150x150 and 70kb for DMs, mods, admin)

If you want one of pictures of your car (like mine) I don't mind doing it for you.
Just email me the pictures (info@fpvclubqld.com). Or if you have photoshop I can explain how to do it.

ha there we go...cool.

ok I downloaded Ulead GIF Animator 5. Then took the pics I wanted and copied into a folder. Resized them to 150x150 and then added them into a gif.

Try here, there are thousands of avatars here, some are animated others are not. Good luck with your search.

Theres a thousand you can use. Flash is what i use though. If you want something basic, go to download.com and type in gif editor and you should get plenty. Polyal used a good one, try that. All you have to do is import the image, then tell it how long to stay there for before it changes to the next image, simple. Heres one i prepared earlier:

Its not finished yet though!

For the learned amongst us, is there a laymans explanation between a gif and flash, i know gif is basicly images set to run on top of each other at set time intervals, but how and why is the flash different and are the any free flash makers online? is so where is best

There are no 'flash makers'. Its like saying, 'how do i make a Photoshop, is there a Photoshop maker?'. Flash is the program, and it outputs SWF files which are shockwave files, from flash.

Now the difference between flash file (swf) and a generated image sequence (gif) is that flash can be interactive, can use sound, compresses better, uses vector graphics, actionscript and a whole heap of other stuff. A gif on the other hand is a sequence of pictures, thats basically it. The only time i find gifs useful is for small animations with no sound, or for the transparency option.
