Default its new site night

Test page

Well in the theme of new sites here is a test page i have been working on for you,

There is still some work to do, in that i can load all upcoming events up the top and have them time / drop out.

i will also be adding all clubs etc to the side panel on a rotation.

text sections can be auto timed etc for upcoming events.

please pm your pics n vids if you want to a star ( select the yelow refresh button )

only 2 vids loaded and one pic, the pics / vids can be anything from builds to shown n shines etc etc.

the way these work is as new pics are sent in the older ones will drop of ( with timer keeping things fresh )

in effect the whole page will be dynamic, changing with whatever is happening at the time

hope you like it

will be all pushed live in a week or so

Pete

Had a look,

So the left hand menu column will pop up in new windows?

I think that would be ok for the right hand sponsors links, but not for the links that direct the user within the site itself.

Bit hard to navigate at this point in time however, not because of its layout, but because the links all go to the current ford forums site, so the maintained theme of the layout cannot be seen.

Cheers!

Jason

I cant see the "new posts" button like the one on the current forum. Please keep that in there as I browse the forums that way.

Nice, needs a bit of a polish but its good to see a new layout. I like the idea of vids and pics rotating on the front screen too...

Look like it's going to be a hell of a lot easier to use, no more scrolling for half an hour to get to the for sale section.

Just wondering if you were planning on using the new banner style with the new site? The one they talked about in this thread looks great.

cheers, but i think you will need to still scroll as the demo is just a directory advert listing for the forum.

thanks dan / others, please make sure you fire in some pics / vids /events / builds etc for listing if you want, it will keep the display fresh. they must be links already in the site. no hanky panky allowed

One thing (and I don't know if it has been asked yet)...

Can we have it that the links on the Left Hand Side open in the Current Window please. Right Clicking "Open in new Tab" gets boring quick. Also, 1024x768 went out with Leaf Springs (except at Ford). Is it possible to make the site resolution independent?

Andrew.

Hi Andrew not following right click open new window gets boring ? , the idea is to bring them to the site once, then let them use the site navagation ? but yes anything is possible just can not see why people would sit there clicking in and out from the directory, perhaps i do not understand your question properly.

the second part yes it may be possible to allow auto screen resolution.

Pete

Sorry Pete

I'm looking at the 'Quick Links' on the left hand side. For Example, under Ford Passenger Cars, there is the Territory link. If I click it, it opens a new window. I am not a fan of that. That is my only gripe.
