Default Focus Plastic Cover - Air Con Removal

Hi all

Just brought a base model 08 focus with 2000kms on the clock private sale.

The aircon was not working so it went in for warranty repair, they replaced the whole unit, it went back in again yesterday and a new seal was put in all is good.

Now driving today the black plastic cover that sits under and behind the front spoiler let go and smashed to pieces while i was driving, no dips or anything it must have been hanging I would say.

My question is does anyone know if this plastic cover would have to be removed to access the aircon unit, wondering if it was put back on properly by the mechanics.

Looking at the spoiler there are a few light grazes, nothing extreme from the previous owner.

cheers

Yes, most likely, if they were replacing pipes or even the condenser itself (which sits infront of the radiator, about 2cm wide.

It must have been sitting there. That panel on the underside of my front bar gets tapped every time I leave the driveway at home, and its still there and strong 4 years and 170,000kms later.
