A Deloren

Hi guys,

Just a thought.

I want to buy a project car that will last a lifetime and thinking through id love nothing more than a Deloren or a 1969 Dodge Charger.

But how does one go about finding these rare vehicles??

A deloren would be nice!!! Heap of histoy, and some deep rooted political history.

a Deloren for me,dont think many come up for sale here,best to check evil bay america,were of there end of next year and my plan is to get one

but they seem to have a cult following over there n seem to be getting dearer to:(

Might have a source of used ones etc.

From memory the delorean had leaking issues etc. I have seen a genuine delorean up close and it didn't appeal to me. I love the charger but horses for courses hey!

There is at least one Deloren in Australia. Last I heard Matthew Reilly (fiction author) pick one up at a Melbourne auction & drove it home to Sydney.

but back to the main subject of the thread, id go Dodge over a Delorean but a prerequisite to buying a Chrysler (Dodge) Valiant it to own a tough Ford!!!

i loved the 1970s dodge charger from vanishing point
good luck trying to find a delorean down here i heard there was only a couple in a australian pro skateborder had one and was saying it was a very rare find

there was... it was sold a few years ago and wound up going to england :( i went up there just to see it and it had been sold weeks before

I 've seen one around the north side if Brisbane a few times, even up Morayfield way.

theres a delorean for sale in the latest car magazine for classic cars sales..not unique cars but the other one? Has cars in groupings. I think it was around 45 grand and had the lowest km of any delorean in the world, something like 40k!

Far too 80's and far too expensive for what they are. The movie makes it look good but then again, it's not really a stocko is it?
I've seen one up close and personal and I find them ghastly.
I'd rather do up old school muscle instead of some hyped up concept car that requires its own mechanic. Actually, even in the movie it had constant mechanical issues.

In the dukes of hazzard movie dad asked me "which would you rather have, jessica simpson in the bikini or the charger?" " i picked the charger you can have more fun with it and it'll be just as gorgeous in 30 years

Hemi Cuda would be nice too. guy i know has one sits in a shed costs $100 in fuel to go from lonsdale (south adelaide) into the CBD.

two brothers also have one each

was in unique cars from memory - they had Italian sounding surname - so at least 3 but i would say much more

Interesting, cos I went a couple of years ago and asked about the Delorean, was all I wanted to see, and was told the owner had pulled it out of the museum to sell it, it was no longer there. Must be a new one in there or something?

Try and get one of the genuine 24 carat gold plated Deloreans ;)
