Can anyone recommend a particular Ford dealer in Sydney to have my Falcon serviced?
Have heard a few worrying stories about some places, so just wondering if there's any good ones out there? Been quite happy with with Phil-Gilbert at Lidcombe the last few services, but just found out it's closing next week! (The service centre, not the dealership.) Thanks guys. |

My car is at Alto Ford right now and they have been working with Ford CRC to get my car in order. So far they have been great, have kept me in the loop and I hope to maintain this relationship.
The other place? I used to hate getting lost at Parramatta shops while killing time and I'm glad I no longer need to go there for any reason now :-D

I've been happy with Sinclair Ford at Penrith.
Avoid Power Ford in Castle Hill at all costs.

Thanks to the OP for posting this up.
Bought my Fiesta Zetec WS back in 2010 with Dale Ford in Chullora. They shut down over a year ago, then went to Phil Gilbert as the main alternative, thinking that I would stick with those guys (they seemed much more organised than Dale). Now that they're gone (service centre) I don't know where to go. I'm tossing up between Sinclair and Alto Ford at the moment. Which would be better in terms of service times and reliability? I don't know what's going on, and whether the offshoring has led to the shutdown of Dale and Phil Gilbert, but was going to ask if anyone has had experienced servicing with City Ford? (the nearest one to me - I'm in Lidcombe/Olympic Park area). |

Hi Cobra, the lady on the phone definitely said it was the Ford dealership, and actually recommended if I had any warranty repairs required for my Falcon I should probably take it elsewhere.

For NW Sydney .... I also highly recommend Winford Ford as well in McGraths Hill for servicing.
Also had great service from Sinclair Ford as well ... as i live closer to them now i go there.

Brad Garlic at Top Ryde. Speak to Mitch in the Green team. He is an enthusiast as well (he has a modded AU XR8) and really does a great job. Cant recommend them high enough.

Agreed that Sinclair ford are good for servicing but any other issues (warranty, etc) can be a painful process.

Appears we had one endorsement earlier, am local to them too and since Phil Gilbert Lidcombe have closed their doors to us I am pondering the next service centre. I am contemplating non Ford service provider myself, thoughts anyone, Focus ST coming up to the 15K?? Apparently Ford have a ECU upgrade which they couldn't apply last service because they couldn't download it (amateurs), but I have an aftermarket tune anyway so I don't care too much about it. If a TSB is announced different story but general service I am thinking non Ford service centre.
