Default That shouldn't happen to a Lambo.....

Check out these pics and watch the video at the end. The Black car just turns into the path of the Lambo leaving it nowhere to go. Like you wouldn't see a white Lambo coming down the road....

The Lambo would make a cool BBQ now.

That's incredible! The caption under one of those photos said that the things were designed to split-up in an accident, for safety reasons.
So... Do the two halves get taken to the Panel Beater shop for re-joining, or does the thing now get "Written Off" altogether by the Insurer?...
Not much of an impact, really, when you consider the miniimal amount of damage to the front of the black car...(?)
Nice find FPV!

I don't think it was the accident that caused the damage...it looked like he hit that bloody big tree by the roadside as it flipped sideways after Mr No-Brain turned across and drove into the side of him...doesn't look like he hit a "fence" at all.

I just watched it again, and yep...it's the tree that does the damage. Watch it shake as the rear end hits it.

That half rear half cut would be a good transplant into the family vw bug .

When I first saw this article, I kept seeing comments on the sites like "Omg that no good street racing Lamborghini driver, too rich to know any better! He was obviously doing 100mph!"

Even if he was slightly speeding, that other driver was just stupid for somehow missing a huge white Lamborghini.

The Lambo's break in half design is good, especially in this circumstance.
If he had have hit the tree, a normal car would've wrapped and just stopped instantly, hurting the driver quite a lot.

With the car splitting, it allows the front to continue forwards and come to a more gradual halt, much better, although saddening for the Lambo :(

It is designed for that to happen.
The car on car impact was not the cause of it. Hitting the tree and wall was.
As someone else said.... Most cars would have wrapped around and killed the driver.
Instead he walks away unharmed.

It's a good demonstration of the safety built into modern supercars. As far as who is at fault, they are both to blame. The Lamborghini is clearly rocketing down the road and the other driver obviously didn't care to look long enough to see that the Lambo was closing in at a high rate of speed.

The guy turning most likely couldnt judge how fast the lambo was going and made the turn based on him travelling at the speed limit,if the lambo hadnt have been speeding it most likely wouldnt have happened, quite easy to do...

I dunno, if there's a gap, someone will try to fill it. it's amazing how many cars will jump out in front of you (and then drive really slowly, then turn off after 50 meters):/

The lambo wasn't going fast. How far did it travel after hitting the tree? 20m?
That's not fast.

Not to mention the guy that turned on him hit the rear quarter.
How the hell do you not notice that you're about to drive in to the side of a big white lambo?

You can hear tires in the video with sound before the sound of the collision.. I'd say the Lambo was braking before the black car hit it. The black car wasn't going fast enough to cause the noise.

It could be the lambo after the collision I suppose, and the hit you hear in the video is the tree..

U can see the lamborghini hitting the breaks they should be carbon fibre and would stop I believe it was in 25 meters or something so he was obviously driving to fast
