Default No 'F' prefix rego's for WA

Well it looks like the rumour is true, WA has skipped F in its rego sequence and gone straight to G (I spotted 1GAD*** this morning) Apparently there was too much concern for variations of the F word and other combos slipping through... Bummer what about the good ones? I was hoping to get 1FTE of my Tickford...

Surely it can still be ordered with an F prefix?

Must be a Holden fan working in that department. Not having available 1FOR... Or 1FPV... seems intentional to me.
WA could release these only ^^, and donate profits.

Tell me about it... No FPV, FTE, FRD 1FAT351(falcon coupe) so many lost possibilities... On the upside our mechanic likes to hand pick plates, managers got 1DIK a couple of years back and with my new ute in the workshop I was in line for 1FAG for sure... I'd like to hunt down 1GAY001 though, not that theres anything wrong with that, lol, but it'd be worth the thirty bucks to give the 'right to display' to my brother for xmas

They could've just skipped the combinations that could be offensive ...

Ah well, we've got plenty of letters left in the alphabet. It'll be a long, long time before we get to 9ZZZ999.

I don't think thats the case although the new prestige series is definitely a cash grab. They have a plaque on the side with a swan logo, the letter 'W' then you're combination, meaning they can now basically re-issue all of the personal plates over again. The technicality is for example though if I wanted 'RS2000' it would actually be registered as 'W RS2000' and then they're asking near on 2k for letter only combos! baa humbug to that...

It seems to me that it would be much better to simply not issue the "nasty" parts of the series - Like 1FUK.

The letter/number combo was always destined to return terrible plates and I'm surprised they printed some of them. 1COC, 1CUM, 1DIC etc etc. I've seen quite a few 1DCK-xxx recently which only reads as one thing to my (maybe somewhat twisted) mind.

The weird thing is people don't even seem to notice, two of my friends have been driving around with 1DIC plates and didn't seem to care until I pointed it out.

My favorite so far was 1CUN-7xx. Got a photo of that one.

No, you won't as apostrophes aren't kosher either lol..

I can see where they are coming from. A girl I used to work with had SLT as the first 3 letters of her generic NSW plate and changed them soon after buying the car due to all the unwanted attention.

Pretty soon they'll ban u prefixes.. back in the 90's my brother had an airlane (fs are banned) with unt-### plates on it so he flipped the p plate turning it into a d plate and stuffed it in that far making it a c plate... the religious mother of his good mate at the time chased him out of their house with a wooden spoon....

I'd foreseen this actually- I remember when I started at Kenworth in 2007 all the first trucks we delivered were all 1COK-***, wondered what would happen with the F's...

Was thinking it'd be funny being all excited about your new car then rolling up to the dealership to take delivery of your new car with 1FAG-*** plates

Those would have been in the first allocation. In with the 1FAG's and out with the 1FUK's Not surprised they've done it...

Actually, just thinking about it- they'll skip the first of the F's which would have been 1FAG now they'll go straight to the G's- 1GAY-***

Bullet. Dodged.

Good one DOT! Haha

Queensland issued the F series, including FAG, FKU, FKR, and the like.

My daughter actually had FKR, and she loved it as a joke. Nobody ever said anything about it , as most people don't fuss over number plates.

I never did see *** though.

My old man bought himself a toy which I always distanced myself from- a 2002 MB SLK230 Kompressor. From memory they we the first production car with a folding metal roof. That's about their claim. Aside from that, hairdressers car, but my old man loved it. I pleaded with him to do something about the plates it came with- 1DCK-916 but every time I saw it I just saw dick. 60 year old man in an SLK230 convertible with "dick" plates.... Cmon dad....

I saw a Commodore ute with a personalised plate with '3SUM' on it, and strangely there was actually a girl in the passenger seat.

I found IAMG0D was available a few years ago, but figured if I got that it would probably incite people to trash my car.
