Default car talk @ social gatherings.

i was out and about tonight.

i find out that this bloke i was talking to owned a 5speed AUTO xf. with 150rwkw all from a stock "RECONDITIONED Motor mate"

i then get told ea's are really crap compared to eb and ed. and i ask why?
coz apparently fan belts squeek.

so i thought why not, he reckons ea's suk, so i take him for a spin in my ;) "carby ea on gas" the 4litre +t5 with exhaust stuck him in his seat, and "ИИИИ man thats the best ea i have ever been in" lmao

oh i was in so much pain from trying to keep the laughter in, just had to ring up mates and tell them about this 5speed animal ;)

Gotta love the ИИИИ dribblers sometimes. I had this bloke talking to me about his old mans torana, "yer mate its a v8 with a supercharged twin turbo, runs 8's bro."
I had him goin on for ages about this cars carbon fibre chassis and titanium pistons, could barely hold the laughter in.

Ah yeah everyone has some story about a guy who's mate's best friend's dad's brother's wife's brother's uncle has a 'fully worked' <insert car> which can do stupidly insane speeds when in reality its an old VN with steel rims and a chopped springs.

Its amazing how many people will tell you their cars engine was worked up from the factory. I've heard ИИИИ like ' oh this fairlaine was bought new by a sales rep who was friends of the guy who runs tickford. the parts in this car arent nessisarially standard tickford parts' . There was a guy once who was telling me he owned a xr6t and he bought it new when they first come out (20 years old ths bloke was) so i askled where the car was 'oh its at my mates place, i got a pic on my phone' I asked if he had added the bonnet bulge, the gt kit, the gt wheels and painted it rapid. ' oh nah mate thats how i bought it' He obviusly didnt realise the pic he's taken was of a gt and the colour wasnt avalible at the BA launch lol.

I hate the idiots who talk absolute sh*t and they have no idea what they're talking about.

Lucky for me I havent had to put up with morons talking crap about my car to my face. there was one time that a group of idiots in a Hilux were mouthing it off, they soon shut up when we told them it was a 5 speed that had been tuned up. lol

but i recently had a great convo with a bloke whos dad built fat57. this kid turns up at a party in a slammed 72 chevy pickup. had a good chat with him about cars and stuff, good bloke. turns out the ute he was driving round in was made up form bits and peices they had laying round. i was more than a little envious even though it was a chev.
