Ok it done oil pump gears and no mods done and no new engine....
Ford did not cover the warrenty on the engine as it had to many mods...... Got told by a good source that any engine breakage or problem FORD/FPV will not cover any vehicle with any sort of mod ie:exhuast and cold air intake those days are long gone. The only way you will get things fixed with cars that have mods is that the dealer does not tell them what mods your car has, so maybe bribe the Service Manager so he doesn't tell on you lol..... will put pics up tomorrow |

Jeez another one bites the dust. Only driven to church on Sundays too. LoL. Did you put the billet gears in or are you taking a punt on the stock items???? When I got the ute I had the option of a full Herrod exhaust fitted by the dealer, I wonder what happens to these people if their oil pump craps itself?

Guys l think when the dealerships fit these exhuast and other mods l think they just warrenty the parts fitted.....As at the beginning the dealerships were doing warrenty work on these Herrod Cars but then Ford Motor Company clamped down as they had seen way to many claims that they had liked....

apparantly some dealers are now getting the customer to sign some type of form saying it will void their warranty before the dealer fits the parts?!?
i was told this by a customer - not sure on exact details of form but this is basically what he said Adam |

Yes this is because Ford Motor company have made the dealer sign agreements that any car comes in with warrenty or service that all mods get reported to the warrenties department

yeah but this isnt when your going in for a warranty issue - this is when you go to your friendly dealer and ask for something to be fitted - say exhaust - they then get you to sign this before fitting it
no longer is there substance to people saying its worth paying the extra getting a dealer to fit a part... |

It'll make it intresting if a car is modded and goes in for a service and they reccord the mods, sh*ts an oil pump gear then the car turns up stock. How will it hold up in court, unless they have evidence. How can they take a dealer's word for it. |

I suppose Manufacturers are getting more and more scrupulious on warranty claims as they are chasing the almighty $$...... but if a dealer has sold, and fitted the accessories i think it only fair they make the customer aware that their warranty maybe voided.

It's funny how a 1okw gain from a exhaust is enough to break an engine in a performance car......... |
