I know there are probably dedicated places for this sort of information, I thought I'd give it a stab here!
I just got myself a new phone, a Sony Ericcson K800i. While it does have video playback, it only plays mp4 video files. I'm wondering if it's possible to add a program to the phone to play other file extensions such as the more common .mpg or .avi? Alternatively, is it possible to convert files that I already have in .avi and .mpg into MP4 files so I can play them on the phone? Thanks in advance! Justin. |

You should be able to download a converter for it.
I have Nokia MultiMedia Converter 2.0 My phone works in 3gp, so it does the job. Should work for all phones, not just Nokia. Cheers Darran

I have wondered this too. I want to play mpg and avi on my phone and want to convert my 3gp to those formats on my computer. Apparently you can do it if you have the Nokia software but I can't do it even after reading numerous sites.
Whatever you do don't download a convertor on Limewire. They have viruses and I'm lucky my anti virus is good. |
