Would you believe I am a kebab virgin?
My favourite haunt is a local Noodle Paradise shop Yummo! I go to Subway if I've got any vouchers (I'm a tightarse), ditto for KFC or Red Rooster (aka Crimson Cock). Maccas is good for those "damn I'm hungry" times when driving to/from Melbourne, especially at 1am! -Dave- |

i don't really eat takeaway anymore... only when theres nothing else to get... i had maccas at the meet the other week and it made me feel a bit sick. takeaway sucks.. except for maybe fish and chips that still nice... but the big fastfood places.. maccas, kfc, hungry jacks.. etc. is pretty gross.
edit: oh yeah pizza is good... as long as its nice.. pizza from la porchetta mmmm Last edited by neb; 03-05-2005 at 04:20 PM. |

I don't eat takeaway that much at all anymore. If I am really desperate I'll eat Subway, but I prefer Chinese, Indian, or Thai for a lunch or dinner out of the home and will seek those places out rather than Maccas et al.
Actually the last time I had a Maccas burger was in 2003... and longer for KFC/Red Rooster. If I want to have a MAJOR pigout, it's gotta be pizza (vegetarian of course, being the hippy I am lol).

Kebabs!!! Mmmmm
Our local fish-'n-chip place is pretty good too. Occasionally Subway, Red Rooter or Maccas too. But Kebabs more then anything else.

LAMB KEBABS!!!! Although I'm fussy about where I buy them from, usually I'll only buy them from shops that use real meat and the kebab isn't dripping with fat. After that comes Subway, a hamburger or souvlaki from the local fish and chip shop, if I'm desperate I'll have KFC. I prefer home cooking over take away though, that way I know what I'm eating and don't have to guess how much sugar there is in things. Nothing like cooking up freshly caught and cleaned Calamari. I haven't touched a thing except water from Macca's in years, can't stand the food (if you can call it that). :

Lol I've been known to get off the train early at Town Hall just to go to the KFC there at night. All the other KFCs are closed in the city around that time.
Apart from that Maccas is ok, I used to eat it all the time during school, probably because I was a employee there lol. Btw i never felt sick eating it day after day. I'm not much of a pizza fan, they make me feel a bit sick, especially pizza hut/haven pizzas. Old style pizzas/home made are good though. I love my chicken kebabs with extra bbq sauce. You just gotta find a good(clean) kebab shop and stick with that. I don't eat much chinese food, if I do beef and blackbean and honey chicken over fried rice floats my boat. But my ULTIMATE FAVORITE is Oporto! |

Cant go past a subway footlong for lunch, that's about all i'll have for lunch when i'm at tafe. Maccas is awesome when you're out on a friday/sat night at about 1am, really hits the spot, especially if you've been drinking :baby bott KFC is also good, but i'll only buy the Twisters/Burgers there, the chicken pieces by themselves make me feel sick.

/me clicked all the boxes!
Ogalos and Oportos chicken is fan-****en-tastic also. Red Rooster isn't too shabby either. And occaisonally the usual greasy ype stuff like hamburgers, fried fish, prawns, calamari, chips, battered savs, etc.

There is a place downstairs from work that do a great chicken, tomato and mushroom pide, and there is also a really good crepe place too. They'll do savoury or sweet crepes, and they are all awesome.
mmm strawberry and ice cream crepe....
