I had the 1986 AS Telstar TX5 Ghia . It is the only hatchback I've ever owned . She was the 5 speed manual with the 2.0 litre engine . The next one had the 2.2 litre engine or optional 2.5 litre V6 and turbo I think .

I had mine for 7 beaut years . Only issue was it did a couple of the ignition modules in a short space of time . After the second one failed I bought a spare module and it lived in the glovebox for a couple of years until I traded her on a 1996 EF Futura also a 5 speed manual .. Even though it was a little under powered it was a classy car and drove really well . It was a dark red and something tells me it was Regency I think but can't recall for sure .. Haven't seen one for yonks ...
