Hi Again,
Sorry its been so long since the last post. Have been flat out with work. Thanks for the comments guys and Doc the colour is a pearl metalic. Back to the build. After I fitted the sil it was time to refit the door lock panel correctly (not slanted inwards like previously) Im going to post numerous small sections as the system logs me off and I loose everything before I get to post it. (Bloody computers) |

The side boot panel was also removed to be replaced.
The replacement panel usual was crap so I made a new one. I also had to remove and rebuild this panel. Dont have any photos of this one finished. |

Then there was a lot of test fitting of the wheel tub and quater. Found out there was a lot to repair on the tub and a lot of adjustments.
There was a lot of hours spent repairing the tub to get it to fit to the guard and getting it all to align. |

After having the quater on and off making tweeks to alignment for what seemed 100 times It was finally fitted and rewelded back on. The alignment was well worth all the effort.

Now was the time to sort out the mess on the join of the roof and quater.
This section was cut out and I made a new fill section to weld in. After being fully welded slowly cleaned up the welds. |

The boot rubber channel was then replaced.
And this corner repaired. |

The seam between the rear beaver panel and boot was also rusted. Cutting it out was the next job
Then makup the outer section. |

Gradually moving around the car. The lower section behind the rear wheel was cut out and replaced as well as a new inner boot pane made for htis side as well.

Next was removing the RHS sil and rusted sections. Support rail was fitted the same as the other side and new sil fitted. all internal panels repaired. Unfortunately not may photos of this part recovered.
The wheels had turned up. I could not wait, Had to put one on to see how they looked. Very happy. |

The center roof arial hole was filled.
The rear bumper was fitted to check alignment. And had to rebuild the RH corner of the rear quater to make them even. Started to file finish the body section. . Doors and guards fitted to check alignment. Side vents fitted. More Panel work. |

Once all the file finishing was finished. It was taken back to the booth for coating in high fill.
Reassembled again Then loaded back up for the trip back home. |

After getting it back home the replacement drivers side door was repaired. Some rust in the bottom and a new lock section was made and fitted.

Now it was time to tackle the engine bay.
With everything removed it was time to repair, Fill holes, remove anything not needed |

Colour me gobsmacked.. Can't understand how I missed this till now
Has to be some of the most meticulous work I have ever seen, can't believe you even re-used that rear quarter panel. I can see why the end result is just awesome. Hey, if I can help with your 'bloody computers' problem give me a yell, have done a lot of file retrieval over the years, if it's still on there and the drive spins at all, I should be able to get your old pics for you. Thanks Bluebear for the comments and the offer on the computer issues. Unfortunately the drive won't spin any more after it was formatted it failed a short time after. I have another drive that I'm going to change the drive Pcb over to see if I can get it to run again when I get time. Hopefully it will run again. Then I can try and recover the hidden data. Time will tell its a rainy day thing.
