Default $10k question

What can i get for $10k?

Must be ford

Prefer 6 cylinder for towing, willing to hear argumnets for 8 cylinders.

Any help appreciated.

Ray, Toowoomba (area)

10 grand may just get you a BA XT if you look around.

Get a nice AU Fairmont/Ghia for that kind of money, you could probably just scrape into a BA XT, but at that price i reckon an AU2/3 Fairmont Ghia would be the way to go.

Nice Interior, and plenty of grunt, especially in the VCT models.

I wouldn't bother getting a BA, get a nice AU3 with that money. The BA would be a clapper.

if you are willing to go older, el ef ed v8's go cheap, quite reliable good for towing could even leave a bit of money to spend on it

depending on where it is you may be able to get a forum member to have a look on your behalf or arrange an RACV inspection etc.

AU Ghia sounds good, but if you aren't to impressed by the AU shape you can go back a notch and grab an EL Ghia with some money to spare.... Great cars at the time and still good to this day.

My Au Fairmont.
JK. As others have said AU2/3 Fairmont, or if possible, you may be able to find a Fairlane, maybe. Why skimp on the luxury?

Why doesn't anyone mention e-gas?

Now that would be a cheap and stable tow vehicle.
