TWO critical and unpatched vulnerabilities in the open-source Firefox web browser have quickly attracted code designed to exploit the flaws.
Combined, the flaws could allow an attacker to run malicious code on a machine using the browser, Firefox parent the Mozilla Foundation said in a security notice posted on its website. Internet security firm Secunia rated the problems as "extremely critical", saying that code to exploit the flaws had been made publicly available. Mozilla has yet to issue any patches for the problem, but said it had made changes to its update service to diminish the risk of a successful exploit. In the absence of a permanent fix, Mozilla has recommended a number of work-around measures, including disabling Java script functionality and the "Allow web sites to install software" option. Both features are found in the "Web Features" area of Firefox's options menu. "Users who have added other extensions or theme sites to the software installation whitelist should remove them until a fixed version of Firefox is available," the Mozilla advisory says. The flaws affect versions of the browser designed for different operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Australian IT

Just get the Firefox RC 1.0.4 it disables the features being exploited, and I can still use V8 Supercar website too.
