Smell because I won't miss my roomate and his farts (or mine for that matter) nor will I miss the smell of tips, rubbish, dog poo... just half burnt racing fuel, but as long as I can still see and hear them, I can imagine the smell!!!

I said smel, but I want to take it back. I'd rather go without taste. I'd never complain about my missus cooking and I'd eat a lot more healthily. I couldn't go without sight, touch or hearing, need them for driving. Must drive. Need to drive.

Would have to say smell, for no other reason that I would have trouble getting by without the others.

This thread is highly retarded, do you think that we wouldn't have members here who lack some of the above senses ? Think they might be a touch offended...:
I chose smell though. :| Last edited by Damo; 02-05-2005 at 12:13 AM. |

I voted smell as I've had a welding injury. I lost my sight for 48 hours and finally regained my sight 100% about 4-6 weeks later. It's no fun but I did notice how accute my hearing was

interesting thread..
i think smell would be the one to go if i could chose. The rest are too precious, i've lost 1/2 my vision, so i don't want to think what it would be like without sight. |

I could live without the sense of smell. Sight and Hearing are far too precious. The thought of not being able to see my children or hear their laughs (and even their cries) - it would be devastating. And I love food too much to give up taste lol so yes, definately smell for me.

i'd drop smell.. only thing is i'd never smell burnt rubber again.. or a nice coffee, or a nice meal being cooked...
but taste? nah... imagine eating every meal without tasting what it is?? all you have is texture, and im sure theres alot of foods that would seem very unpleasant to chew if they didnt smell good.. sight, hearing and touch are too important for day to day living, aswell as pleasure... smell is the closest to superfluous. |

Yeah I'd chose smell over taste, despite the benefits of cheaper food and losing weight, because I have a problem with texture. I can't stand the texture of some foods, especially lumps in liquid like soup or stuff like that. So it would probably drive me crazy if I wasn't distracted by the taste.
