Here’s the link.

You pay yearly ... if you can afford a BA then I am sure you can afford a lot less than 100 bucks a year for a club

WTF? Bragging about being 18 and owning an XR6 (BA) and you're worried about paying membership to a car club? For your $60 you will get at least a membership card, so it's well worth it, but if you are worried about spending money, then perhaps you should not join, as it will only give you the "mods bug". : I know blokes in our club (ACT) who said they were mister bog-stock, who now have lowered cars, big exhausts and one is looking at twin turboing his V8 - so the mod bug bites hard (or can).

Anyway, enough joking - join the club. You will have heaps of fun, and the Vic guys are a really good bunch.

HAHA yes - owned!

I dont mean to sound jealous, im not, but really - if you're going to say **and Im 18** then you deserve all you get IMHO.

I just take comfort in the fact that you would be paying even more insurance than I do for that car. Im 19 and insurance is painful enough on a Focus FFS!

Maybe he's blown all his money on the car and doesnt have full comp insurance and cant afford to pay $60 or whatever a month?

Everyone needs to lighten up and not assume things when they dont know all the facts..

Perhaps this kind of thing could be avoided if you removed **and i'm 18** from your profile. I dont care what you say, it IS bragging, and noone likes a bragger.

interesting begining, its aff.com.au not ffs :P

Most clubs ask for up front fees as that covers newsletter, membership cards, and a couple free goodies at sign up

If its a worry in regards to cost, and I can appreciate this, then keep an eye on forums like this that has cruises and events on

Otherwise, get active yourself and start a couple events or expression of interests.

We all have to start somewhere, but the worthwhile people are the ones that turn upto events and make new friends...

cheers

Gary

Being involves in the FPV & XR Club had many benefits, you get to be involved in the clubs activities such as Drag days at Calder etc ,Circuit racing on tracks as Sandown,Philip Island and Winton, Dyno days, Show N Shine,Cruise days ,factory tours and Information nights such as last week when we went to Holinger's where thet make gearbox's for the V8s etc, meet special guest and make new friends amongts our club, and also get to learn about your car and what mods are best suited.
Cheers John
