Recording Foxtel, has anyone got this setup, and if they do can I ask a huge favour.
I think it will be just before or during the show, might just be an infomercial part of the show. I have just read you can take the foxtel out signal and hook that to the input on your Digitial Video camera and then record it, then use the PC to code that to a file.
Anyone possibly tried that.

Jason, I've got it programmed to record on my IQ box now. I'll try and convert it to digital via my video camera for you on Sunday.
Do you want the whole show or just the part about steelsafe?

The whole show please, the sales guy was not to sure on all the details, but it is a great highlight on truck jacking in the US and thats a big part to do with the steelsafe product.
I will give you an FTP site to upload it to on Monday if ti will make it easy.

A backup is always handy if you could record it and dump it to DVD would be appreciated.

How do you get it from your iq box to a dvd? Do you output to a video card first?

Actually pretty simple - I just have the RCA output leads from the IQ box running into the input sockets on my DVD recorder (as in TV DVD recorder, not PC DVD burner). Have burnt about half a dozen shows to DVD with no probs. The only thing you can't burn are Foxtel Box Office films - they obviously have some sort of security coding that prevents it.
