I can tell you from 20 years of Summernats first hand experience that after several days of in-ya-face BS from tossers the slightest thing can instantly provoke a strong reaction.
Security were most likely at that point by the time they had words with Gary Myers. As for the anti Chic sentiment I'll follow Bullitt's lead and "digress". I've know the guy since the 1986 ASMF Nationals (don't take your shoes off....that's 23 years) and he is a great guy who is a businessman , who expects those responsible to get their job done. When things don't go well he is the first to put up his hand and accept the blame......not everyone can say the same.
