It's just a stupid political exercise.

Worse than speed cameras.

I remember a day when police actually used to pull you over for speeding!

No they just ban you from driving fast cars.

what exactly do you not understand about the new laws. Even after July 11 a P plater can still register in their name any car they want, they just can't drive it. Hell, you don't even need a license to have a car registered in your name.

And I can bet the insureres are waiting with open arm to sign up anyone who does.
alert**alert** we agree on something. To add to that, I won't be surprised if existing P platers get caught up in the **new insurance levy on vehicles on the banned list**(that I just made up, but is a foregone conclusion)

There are lots of tasty 4 potters you could build with the kids, that would be fun & credible as a first car.
Again, a simple read of the new laws will tell you that performance modifications are banned for new P platers after july 11....

Shall I make an optomerists appointment for you : :

Nice try!!

The difference is those with pre existing ownership and registration of these vehicles outside metropolitan areas will be entitled to drive. Those wishing to rush for this loophole before 11/7 will be bitterly dissapointed. I have stated they are quite entitled to own such a vehicle but ownership will not entile you to drive it.

Now who said anything about performance modifications. Re-read my statement, if comprehension is your thing you sure dont practice what you preach. To recap

No but you could book yourself in for anger management and comprehension. lol. :

I'll commend any parent that actually takes the time to get involved with their kids and cars, its one of the few way to fast track a knowledge, respect, and understanding of the risks and worth far more than any loopy state legislation.
