Default VIC - BF Falcons Torched

What a waste.

Quote:
TWO late-model vehicles were set alight in Deer Park on Thursday night in an alleged personal attack.

A 2007 Ford Falcon sedan parked in the driveway of a house in Welton Court and a Ford Falcon utility parked in the street in front of the house were believed to be petrol bombed about 11.30pm.

Police and fire crews were called after residents heard "loud bangs". Neighbours congregated to look at the flames, while the vehicles’ owners remained inside the house.

Police later arrested a 34-year-old Deer Park man.Sunshine Metropolitan Fire Brigade Officer Steve Peatling said the car in the driveway was well alight when fire crews attended the scene, while the ute had flames under the bonnet.

"They were very lucky it didn’t spread to the house because the car was parked in a reasonably close vicinity to the house, but we managed to knock it down before any fire did spread," he said.

Both vehicles were seriously damaged in the incident.

A Victoria Police release said the incident was believed to be the result of a domestic situation.

Police went to an address in Deer Park and arrested a 34-year-old man over the incident. He is expected to be charged with criminal damage and arson and will appear in court at a late date

Before we get too emotional, we don’t know what the victim did to deserve it. Granted it a waste of two good cars, however, there’s usually two sides to a story.
