The previous model Outlander and Colts have these. The only issue I see with them is the cable wont last that long due to using your leg which is a lot stronger than your arm to engage it.

You do get used to it (1 year now with CRV) not unlike the column mounted gear lever in Escape / Tribute.

Must say - personally that neither are preferred though - all else being equal it would be decision maker.

Hmm..thinks back to the XA/B/C 2 doors...yep. Noisey, blind spot, hard to park, no sensors. Foot operated park brake. Mustang, as has been mentioned.

my p6 has a foot operated hand brake. reverse sensors are fitted to most aurions, the rental one must have been a mega poverty pack.

surely you enjoyed the 200kw through the front wheels?

Kinda hard to do handbrake turns?

xa-xc coupes had hand operated park brakes - it was only the landau that had the foot operated one out of the coupes

they did have a style that no other car could match though

although ignorant about newer cars, i would have thought new cars would/should have a hand operated park brake
although the landau one was a fair distance from the brake, i would rather have it out of the way totally, needing a consience effort to use it

I have been in many Aurion's when hirring a vehicle and I must say it felt strange at 1st but I rather liked it, and I didn't mind the vehicle overall so to speak, I felt in my own personal opinion, that it felt much better than the BF XR6 I hired once, but I'm not going to compare them to much as some hire car's have had a hard life for such little klm's.

Perhaps I should have phrased it better. I meant that the Coop's were a bastard to park. Not that they had a foot park brake as well.

No argument from me there. But then again 2 doors were meant to go forwards, fast. NOT sit around parked.

Try a newish Volvo Truck, they've got foot a operated (lock for the) steering column adjustment!

As per above the P5 LTD and Landau had foot operated parking brakes - with a release handle on the dash. This isn't a problem because there's no clutch pedal and it's out of the way of your foot when driving.

The only problem is remembering that the park brake is engaged because there is no handle sticking out from under the dash.

Later release dashboards had a red indicator light next to the release handle to tell you the park brake was on.

I agree. I found it "different" the first few times i used it - but quickly built a bridge and got over it.

There are other things to worry about in the Aurion, like the damn seats.....
