Does anyone have any experience in removing the front door trim on an LT (or LS) Focus? I can hear something loose rolling around inside the door, front drivers side.... mmm.. wasn't there yesterday. I want to take off the door trim and take a look, but I'm worried about breaking something.
Thanks |

I had a similar problem, but it was like that from delivery, so I gave the car back to the dealer and told them what I truely thought of the service.

PS, those door clips are $8 each, so try not to break too many of them!

I haven't got around to taking the door trim off yet, don't want to do it without the tool. But I did shine a torch in the gap between the trim and the door, and I could see that it is actually one of the plastic lugs that has broken off and is rolling around inside the door( broke off by itself??? ) I think I'll just leave it unless it starts to annoy me.

If it's just a clip that's snapped off you should be able to pull it out without taking the trims off. Just bend the door trim back a little bit and try to get a grip on it. The trims aren't gonna move if a clip is missing. My front passenger door is missing 3 clips still!
Strange that it would break off by itself though. Go get it fixed under warranty.
