Default donations to help mother nature after her house fire

Hi everyone

It has been amazing how many people on the forums are keen to help out Mother Nature after her horrible week. There have been many requests for a way to make a donation to help her get back on her feet. Obviously many people want to send her goods that they feel may be of help, but for those who want to make a cash donation a bank account has been set up as follows...

Bank: ANZ
BSB: 013220
Account: 511752255
Name: Nicole Bourman

This bank account will remain open until the close of business on Wednesday 31st August, 2005. After this date it will be closed and we will arrange for a coles-myer voucher to be sent to Lisa for the amount raised.

I thank you all in advance for your generosity and hope that we can raise enough to help Lisa and her kids get settled in their new home.

I know it's not up to me but wouldn't a money order be of better use than a coles myer voucher?

That will be up to Lisa. We have to make sure that giving her money doesn't interfere with any government assistance that she may be entitled to. Coles-Myers gift vouchers are redeemable at Myers, Target, Kmart or even Coles or BiLo for everyday shopping, so they are pretty useful for her.

Anyway both will be offered to Lisa.

If we dont give the money to Lisa as such, but it is actually given to one of the kids then they happen to buy required goods for the house then the government can't complain can they :

I just did an internet bank transfer of $50 will have my name (Dellboy999) as a reference against the deposit, if its not there in a few days let me know.

Muchly appreciated for setting up the account. It will come quite in handy. I became aware of the fact that the local community out there has set up a trust fund for the family only today (otherwise would have tried inculding these details.)
Tis GREAT to see such awesome support for a fellow AFF member in need!

"From Ghia5L" ;)

I didn't reply for some reason in the initial thread (I read through it recently but mustn't have clicked "Submit Reply"), so I'll say here that I hope my small contribution goes a long way for you. I'm glad to know that you and your family are safe though!

Regards,

Well done everyone. Thanks to donations from many generous members we have raised $700 for Lisa. We have now closed off the bank account and will be sending it to her in the next week or so. Im sure this money will help the family get back on her feet and I am proud to be part of such a caring group.

Thanks again for everyones support. :

Wowwww guys .... what can I say......... I am overwhelmed by this !!!!!!!!!!!

The kids and I are getting the things we need with the help of some wonderful mates and the community. The funds you have raised will go a long way to get the kids the little personal things that they have lost as we have been concentraiting on the more necissary things to start with.

Sorry I havent been online but there doesnt seem to be enough hours in a day it seems. I have arranged a better computer and just need the time to set it up properly then it will be back to normal as far as that is concerned.

I know thanks isnt enough in words to say how much we appreciate all of your support. A special thanks must go to the moderators and Wulos. Wulos I dont know how I would have been able to keep everyone informed without your help ..... yes you are a legend matey :P
