Hi All! I haven't been around for AGES....but thought now some of lifes little dramas have gotten out of my way I might just pop in and say hello.
For those that don't know me - I'm Melanie and I am working on getting underway on my first ever car restore (with the help of my husband...and of course, anyone here that wants to give me some helpful pointers ;)) I was at the time of signing up driving my dream car - a BA Mark II XR8 but I had to sell me baby :( as our landlord decided to sell the house from under us and the only way to find another landlord willing to accept us with all my cats (I'm a registered breeder) was to move bush. Once we moved....the loan repayments, along with the $300 a week in petrol to get too/from work got WAY to much for us before it caused us any problems. Didn't get rid of a V8 though!!! I am now driving what is loving (*note sarcassim!*) known as THE SLUG. A 1986 Range Rover.....much more suited to our 500m long dirt (and slush now it's raining almost every day) driveway. ....still have my XC engine...and still looking for a shell to put her in....so if anyone knows of a XA/XB/XC wagon laying around that's looking for a little loving care send them my way!!!! Big hugs to all those who I used to speak with on here before I disappeared and hope to get back in touch with you all soon :-) Mel. |
