When I was younger, my parents bought a 1 year old AU 1 forte. I read up on the specs and though we had a freak car as I could have sworn it had 5 gears, lol.

I love putting it in D and from 60 being able to accelerate quickly to 100 in 4th as the stall is slipping off its boobs.

Well another gear box is going into the car. Just come back from the auto place, 3rd gear is soft, Torque converter not working and takes time for it to go into drive,

So it will be fitted either this weekend or next week

Sell the cars parts and buy a cheap au with a working transmission. So much stuffing around mate it's hardly worth it

Becuase it states under there warrenty that is must be fitted either by them or there auto shop, i got it fitted through some one else. which then kinda voids the warrenty didnt help with it being almost out off warrenty

But becuase they didnt fit it, they can blame some one elses errors for the things going wrong

so wait on
you bought a box from the wreckers
then had to fix it at your own cost
for a similar total price to a fully rebuilt box that you could have had a full 1 or 2 year warranty on
never have to worry, never get your hands dirty, be pretty much guaranteed that the box will outlast the car
now you have a box that still might implode in 6 months time.

if you wanted a perfect box then you shouldn't have got a wreckers special
sounds like you've got champagne tastes for beer money, it ain't gonna happen mate
Having a worn C4 clutch band in the box causes this. I too have to same issue ie, no engine braking.

There you go, more knowledge

So $330 to take out your box, replace a band, replace the converter, flush and a service?
I think they are telling you porkies.

Not sure if Monty would pay to read anything by you. And mr hardware you are 100% correct, the point of putting a fresh box in a... Car.. Like yours is that it's cost basically the same, the car would have been off the road for far less amount of time
from what I see you just like hanging around the wreckers an buying things regardless of what people with more than half a brain tell you
