I got a Massy MF1135 540ci beasty - it does its job mostly - tho not much left rear brake

As promised photos of the Chamberlin and the Massey. Unfortunately the Chamberlin didn't want to start so i couldn't get it out of the shed for a decent photo. I use my MF more than the Chamberlin, it at least starts first go!!

Haha.. you wouldn't use it either!!! Its home to a sparrow at the moment and a nice little nest of redbacks under the seat!!! Its too big and bulky for me, and counting my red MF goes faster!! You can tell which gets looked after better...

haha..

it gets used in a vineyard.. not too much ploughing, plenty of spraying and towing trailers at harvest!!! The iseki isn't to my liking not enough cab space, you feel like your driving a shoebox but the Kubota isn't too bad. Trying to explain to a girl i work with at my other job about why there is 12 forward gears and 6 reverse gears!! Just like talking to a brick wall, another city slicker!!

I've backed my MF into a creek, have had a HUGE wheel stand trying to pull out tree stumps, (its hasn't got enough guts, i knew that but still wanted to try) the only thing stopping me was the jib on the back... won't be trying that in a hurry!! And dropped a car on it... hence why it had to be rebuilt!![/QUOTE]
Does your MF have the high/ low lever? I remember ours used to have it. It used to freewheel in low range if say you were going downhill and if you were in high it wouldn't roll back if you say stopped on a hill. It was great. Only thing was theres no way they can be pull started. We had a block heater on ours always started first crank too!

Just thought you guys might like to see what a grape harvester looks like

Another machine I come across quite regularly in my field of work...

To give you guys and idea, these straddle posts and vines that are up to 1.8m high and when working sounds like a helicopter taking off. They are equipped with hydralics so they can be lowered/lifted for transporting (no they aren't road registered, they are trucked from one place to the next). Generally they have to be totally steam cleaned between different harvesting, the whole machine....especially between the rods and shakers... so you think washing your car is a hard job???

I know it's not a tractor, but my old man owns an old Chevy Blits crane. Used to be a gunner vehicle in WW2 apparently. It's got a winch good for around 50 tons but strugles to lift 4 tons before toppling backwards. The poor old girl has never had brakes, you either geared down to stop or drop the crane jib down and hope it grabs something... lol

It's a 4 wheel drive and I reckon it'd give a hummer a run for it's money

may i ask where your from melz, as my job at work during the right season is to undo the overhead watering systems for the contractors to go over the top driving those (at night i might add)

) I take it you work in Mildura... you would be a very busy person during vintage... luckily where i am at the moment there is no night shift work (only for those in the winery... haha) I wouldn't have thought Mildura would have much overhead watering due to disease pressures that could be involved.. but you have proven me wrong..

sorry for going off topic,
there is still a lot of overhead watering but the drip systems are mainly used when there is any risk of disease, mold or anything else on the fruit
