Hi mate, I found this on fordxr5turbo.com, it talks about converting the red foglight to a reversing light using the L/H drive revering light, a link is here:-
http://www.fordxr5turbo.com/forum/in...ic,1905.0.html
but you may have to sign up to view it, im not sure. Below is some parts from it.

I can email you some pics from it if you cant view the page

"more use out of your existing Red Foglight on Focus XR5.
Configure so that both sides illuminate when reversing!
Still use the rear fog light separately when it's foggy!

This simple new mod, requires 2 only 6 Amp DIODES which can be purchased from Dick Smith or Jaycar stores, allow $2.50 to $5.00 for them, it's a very affordable mod.

RH side & LH sides retain separate functions plus the new dual function.
Consider visual symmetry fit LHD Foglight (with clear panel & red globe)!
I have drawn a small circuit and provided an Easy Way pic within this topic.

No longer is my car plagued by poor Reverse Lights, hopefully helps others."

I didn't know there was a way to do this mod and keep the rear fog light.
Might have to give this one a crack!
