Default Egas ute wont start after changing plugs?

a friend came over to change plugs this arvo. the plugs we took out where pretty average but iridium but they looked like they where to far into the cylinder head. there was a few mm that was like rusted a few mm that was stripped and then the rest of the thread was fine.
put new platnium plugs in and the car wont start. whys this?

i checked i have spark and compression. but cant hear a click when we turn the key over from the Gas mixer. is there a fuse i can check or something i may of knocked out.

i've loaned the friend my work car but i really wanna get this sorted. any help would be good. thanks so much

I only have dual fuel on my AUs, but your thoughts about fuses or relays would be where I'd start looking also.

Is the car turning over? You didn't say, but I assume it is, because of your comment about not hearing the "click".

Does your mate have the owner's manual? If so, look at the fuse/relay diagram and check all relating to LPG, then to engine etc, etc.

thats weird, i have to ask what was the reason for the plug change? perhaps there was an underlying problem before? the only thing i can think of if all was well before, has something been disturbed, a wire been leaned on stretched, leads on the wrong way? i would carefully check your work area first for anything out of the ordinary, then check other stuff .

they where old. he was getting bad economy so i figured plug change and leads would of been a good idea.

my thoughts to. something has to be dissconnected now.

What was the number on the old plugs? What's the number on the new ones? I smell something ... and it ain't roses. If the old plugs were working and the new ones don't have the same reach then you have the wrong plugs - are they even firing in the combustion chamber? Quick test ... put the old plugs back in and see what happens.

The old plugs where a random brand. The new plugs are what Bosch suggest. Plugs weren't gapped by me so Bosch gapping is 1.3 mm what should it be for an egas?

Ford's recommended gap for spark plugs for E-GAS engines is actually 0.7mm.

Ok so my friend put 4's lead on 6 and so forth and that caused it not to fire.
Feel like a tool but at least it didn't cost anything (RAA win)

Hahahaha ... oops ... if you can ... mark you leads with numbers ... it does make it easier if you get them tangled up when pulling them out.

they where marked already. and took them off one buy 1 i guess he just did it wrong. it happens.
