how do u go about gettin the stereo to come up with code mine has been saying error since i got the thing a few months ago and doesnt appear that it will ever say code so i can enter the security code in...
or should i just junk the thing and chuck in a new deck... |

You need to leave the keys in the ignition in the accessories on position for at least 45 mins - possibly as long as 2 hours.

He should be able to hit to on button and leave it for an hour. This should work. Although, I can't remember if it was the AU or the focus i did it too

nah guys,.,,, it says error and you need yo punch in a code.. ring up ford and get the code of em... just tell them your licence plate number and they tell u the code...the stereo requests a code when the battery has been disconnected..this is a stupid safety feature as i dont know of anybody who would break into a car to steal a ford stereo!! lol

Yep, same thing happened to us in the XR6HP; took 40 odd minutes to change from 'err' back to 'code'.
