Detroit is basically a ghost town in some areas. Population has halved in the past 20? years.
Its so bad that the city council has declared that some low population areas of Detroit technically are no longer part of the city and will no longer recieve garbage collection, police patrols etc because the city can't afford to do it. Whole streets full of deserted houses. Wheels did a great article about Detroits demise 2 or 3 months ago. A real eye opener to see how much its decayed. |
