You don't need a fast/good car to think you are a street racer.
Most try hard hoons have crap cars, I see plenty. They drive them like a d*ckhead which is what annoys the locals. (I'd say tractors are the main form of tpt in that town.)

Like the guy who worked for Cosworth in England a few years ago. Drove a nice (if there is such a thing) 60's Ford Anglia. His friends at Cosworth slipped a worked Cosworth 2 liter and 5 speed into it and he was clocked at 160mph on the M1. That being one of the main motorways in England. Would have been a hairy drive.
