A huge number of work related medicals are done by Nurses, Nurses aids (or whatever they call them these days) or trained workers.

My medical last year, for my B-Double licence, was done by Nurse (of sorts) who couldn't work the blood pressure computer thing properly.

In all Capital cities there are a lot of 'Medical centres' who do nothing but medicals for employers.

Regardless of who does it the workload is still there. And if signoff is needed you just increased the workload.
