I am so embarressed using the horn on my new LS focus I need to change it fast. It is easily removed from it's hiding place behind the front bumper but It seems to have a unique electrical connector that I'm a little concerned about . Any experiences anyone ?.

No; sorry. Thought about it, though. Asked the dealer (for whom everything is too much trouble) to see if there were any Genuine Ford accessory airhorns, or at least second horns to twin-tone it. Call me paranoid, but I didn't want to have any warranty arguments over electrical hassles. Needless to say, the answer was 'no', although they did say that a dual-tone unit was listed as a part for the UK-spec LS Focus, but that Ford Australia was 'unable' to get in the parts.
It never ceases to amaze me that so many manufacturers supply such weedy horns as original specification - even on their 'special vehicles'. |

No but I really, really want to. I keep expecting to see a Conga line of Suzuki Swifts behind me every time I use mine. Its awful.
Havent pulled it out yet but I know exactly what one I want to replace it, and its a Ford item so hopefully it wont be too much of a drama.

dazza,
The radio reception is perfect. I can get nearly all good Brisbane stations as well. I am really impressed by the tone and quality of the sound system even though it only has 6 speakers. |
