The one time I did claim with AAMI they weren't as bad as many of you are making them out to be. I got my car replaced with one worth a substantial amount more with minimal effort, took time but not a whole deal of effort. The only problem I encountered was that the other insurance company wanted to sue me, I located an email address on the letter, sent off an email and never heard back from them. As stated before I am not getting the mods, might as well start investing my money...

Insurance company's are not in the business of rejecting claims, they will do there best to pay out a claim.
With insurance you always here the bad stories because no one talks about the easy claims that get accepted and this is about 98 percent of claims. If an insurance company tried to not pay all claims they would be out of business, it is actually cheaper to pay a claim than reject it. Going from memory the average accepted claim cost was around $5000, this include the employee cost, repair cost etc, now with a rejected claim the average cost is around $20000, this includes all expert cost P.I cost etc. Every insurance company will have bad stories. |

And btw it is legal to record someone without getting permission if you use a device that is not attached to the phone, example tape recorder. It is only illegal if you have it connected to the phone. Example call centre phone recorder or a phone bug. Last edited by xisled; 04-10-2012 at 12:02 AM. |
