Hi All,
Just wanting to change the oil in our 2nd hand mondeo for the first time and wanted to see what oil everyone recommends. We have the 2007 TDCI, done 95k. We have had some one say 5w -30w oil but then also 10w -30w oil. Thanks |

Diesel Mondeos have Particulate filters, so you need to make sure you have a low-ash oil.
Perhaps Nulon diesel 5W-30 like ivorya said. Maybe others like Penrite ENVIRO+ are also designed for diesels with DPFs, except ENVIRO+ GF-5, as it's for petrol engines only. Last edited by TC200six; 23-12-2012 at 01:59 PM. |

I asked a Ford service guy this, he just said he uses a diesel oil that is the same spec as what Ford recommends.
The posts above are probably a bit more robust than the info I got

I use the Nulon oil and agree with ivorya.Buy Aussie! I also use the Nulon PTFE in the oil and have done on previous petrol engines and have got 400 thou + out of the engines with even compression across all cylinders. good gear
