I think I'm a bit OCD when it it comes to spelling/grammar. When I say something that belongs to many I always say "peoples'".
It annoys me after I make a post and it isn't quite right, but I was always fairly good at English in school. I use short hand if I'm in a hurry like texting to someone, but on a forum I make sure I don't come across as an illiterate moron. Generally speaking on most forums I visit peoples' spelling/grammar is decent. Incorrect use of context doesn't bother me as I do it when I'm not switched on. Someone posting mostly text talk is frustrating however. Last edited by Ryan; 05-03-2013 at 07:04 PM. |

I'd like to quote the hilarious Robyn Williams on why spelling and grammar on the internet is so atrocious; "the reason is because most people are trying to type with one hand".
Presumably this means the other hand is busy doing other things.
