Default Going away soon

Hi guys,

At the end of January, I'm heading away with friends. We are going to Mallacoota and will be heading further up along the south coast of NSW.

First question is, which beaches are nice along the south coast? We are only looking to travel upto an hour up along the coast. I think the furthest is Merimbula as its roughly an hour away.

Secondly, I have had a mechanic give the car a thorough check over. The only problems we found where the heater tap and rear shocks. My mechanic told me that every time I go to switch the car off, I should let it run for a minute before I do it. Does anyone know why? Is there anything else I should do while on the road to make sure the car will survive? But I believe the car is capable of doing the trip with no hassles, but I just want to be on the safe side, as optus gets poor reception in country towns.

Also if I have the tyres at 38psi, would that be fine? I will also pump the spare the night before I leave so I know just incase a cop a flat. Knowing me, a nail will pop out somewhere along the road LOL.

Thanks in advance
Bill

Bill; drop your tyres down to 32psi...38 is way to high for 100/110 zones...if you were going to the N.T. and travelling at 180kph+ then 38psi.

Have a safe trip and enjoy.
