Default Has Holden banned dealers from advertising new commodores on carsales?

I think its a bit weird how the Commodore has been released for a month now and there's still no demos / new car stock on Carsales?

Has Holden gone out and told dealers not use this feature, A) till they build up stock, or B) for infinity due to price gouging?? Seems to me like the later as Carsales have the VF added on there, but no ones adding them?

Does anyone know?

Didn't Holden claim they had some problems getting VF stocks to dealerships?

Well I could only find 19 of them for sale on carsales.
Maybe you have your filters set up wrongly.

There are no demos though, maybe they are not interested in selling them yet.....

I know its a case of supply and demand at the start of a new model with pricing but most of the dealer websites up here at least have made a mockery of holdens so called price cut ,61g for a ssv redline sedan! on one dealer site, what a joke! That's dearer than the ve equivalent when it was first released.

The 19 on there are the carsales showroom ones not dealer stock.

Interestingly there were two new VF's advertised in N.Z. on Trade Me yesterday a white SV6 and a white Ute. Both adds were pulled today. FWIW I find your thread conveying the Australian situation an interesting conincidence and I think you've got a good nose for sensing some corproate "instructions". When I had a look at the VF the other day I was told stock will be very tight for the first 3 months due to shipments heading to the States.

Not that I'm thinking of doing so but I reckon other people are wasting their time / money trying to get a good deal while the stock situation is so tight.

^^^^ Plus it's a new model just released so there would be no deals I would imagine and the valuation of trade-ins will be woeful.

Yeah noticed the lack of ads too, I assume its the lack of stock. I don't think Holden would ban ads. It's a 3 month wait at the moment on orders.

Nothing on there, other than one SV6 on NSW.

Saw four on the highway today however, just between Geelong and Melbourne

I was told 6,000 are going to the States. That'd suck up a few days of production !!

Feel sorry for the Cruze buyers, they seem to be the ones copping the brunt of production time blow-outs. I suspect there will be more Saturday overtime coming up.
