Default GT-P for all the limited ed. FPVs??

Was browsing the net for prices, and found an fg f6 with GT-P factory fitted seats (with the F6 embroidery) as the first owner optioned them from the dealer, I’m guessing he asked nicely…
This made me think about all R-specs, the 40th, 5th, Cobras, & Black, why wouldn’t FPV put these awesome seats up front in these limited models for an extra sauce deal for the interior? ( off topic, then I found a 335GT with rspec 9.5s on the rear )
I’m sure to look into some once my FPV hits the garage, any thoughts people? and if Ford is reading, just do it

There was a fella that bought a bunch of cars at the same time and his F6 had to have GTP seats or no deal. Maybe its that guys car.

I was a little surprised that the RSpecs didnt get any parts bin goodies. No big brakes and no GTP seats were nearly a deal breaker for me. No sat nav either was a bit joke.

All the engineering changes made to the control arms, bushing ect to make the R-Spec suspension cost a lot of money, so FPV had to make savings elsewhere, so no big brakes, nav or special seats.

It was a deal breaker for me, I would have been seriously interested if Ford wern't so tight-arsed on the kit.

Your post says dealer option? my guess is dealer turfed the original seats and fitted GT-P seats. If you pay the dealer enough they'll do anything for ya.

Agreed, there is buckleys chance that the GT-P seats are factory fit.

They're amazingly comfortable if you're 5"9 and weigh about 65 kgs though
Ford should release these in a lounge recliner suite with cup holders......

Yep dealers will fit anything you want pre-delivery if you pay for it.

I had a mate who got all kinds of stuff fitted to his Falcon when he bought it new. Just little stuff like high series visors, console lid, leather steering wheel, clear indicator lenses, high series tail lights, colour coded mirros and protection moldings, aftermarket speakers, subbie, and amps fitted through factory head unit - the list went on and on, all fitted pre-delivery at the dealership.

And he did it all this to his brand new (wait for it)

I am 5"11, 95 kgs, & I reckon they are brilliant seats. Little hard to get in & out of but when your in, absolutely brilliant. 335 kws (380), 6 spd manual, proper sports seats & massive brakes makes the SC GTP just that bit more special imo.

Seats like that should be an upgradable option on the F6 & GT vehicle range! I'm hoping they are as comfy & supportive as they look to be.

The stock BA GT seats are great, 10 hours in one no problem. (family trip Melbourne to Sydney)

They are supportive Steve just like the factory Recaro's were in the E-series XR range but you still sit on them rather than in them

I bruise my thighs getting in and out of them ( knee isssues) on the lower supports and when i'm sitting in them they feel nothing like the HSV range ..

I dunno how holden can make such awesome seats , they always have :(

I guess i'm used to Sparco's now they are very supportive, but NOT ideal in a daily driver.

Mucho less $$$ than genuine FPV seats tho'

I'm with you buddy. 120 kg's and 6ft and although they're a snug fit I wouldn't have it any other way and reckon the GT-P seats are a brilliant bit of kit.
