I have registered a car in Australia on the basis on a sales receipt quoting the VIN.
It had been out of rego for 20+yrs, and whilst I could proviode the previous rego number, that had dropped off the computer system (ha ha !! Too old since last rego'd). So with your Ford Oz specs, and a some kind of signed sales receipt from the UK seller, surely you will be fine. As for period plates Vs Q-reg, whatever your local rules state will probably apply. From what I've read in UK magazines, if the rego/V5 trail is broken (never existed in your case), you're probably out of luck. |
