Default Brake options

Hi Mat,

Hope you had a good Christmas and New Years

I've bought another XR5, which has stock brakes.

Just wondered what my options would be, ranging from DBA rotors and pads, to any brake kits that you would know of?

For my last XR5, you supplied DBA rotors, EBC reds, then Ferodo DS2500 pads.

I didn't mind the braking performance, but I always wanted that bit extra (maybe I'm just too picky) so thought you might know of a kit that would fit under the standard wheels that would give me extra braking performance.

All the best,

Dave.

It wasn't long enough Dave but how was yours.
There isn't anything better available as i am sure those wheels hug the factory wheels or we could have a look at running 4 pot calipers on the XR5T rotors if there is enough clearance.

Never long enough, then again, what holiday is?

I thought you might say that. The stock callipers do indeed get damn close to the factory wheels, ah well, nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess!

4 pots would be fantastic though!

Have a look under the car one day and see if you could move the rotor back inwards without fouling as this may determin if we can run a bigger offset 2 piece disc for a big brake kit.

Hey Matt,

So my rotors have had enough. How much would a set of DBA 4000's (front and back) be for a 2010 XR5.

Also, am I ok to pick them up this Saturday?
