Spot on! These make your brain work and bring a smile to your face. A lot of the others, well, how about I couldn't be bothered... There are exceptions of course like the awesome build projects for starters. |

You remember once proudly wearing skintight stretch denims, tank-tops, and flanellette shirts with a long luxurious mullet to impress the ladies...
Nowadays you just make sure that your shorts are long enough to prevent any dangly bits from making an unsightly appearance and that you've got a big enough brimmed hat for summer when you go fishing for a mullet. |

I saw Peter Frampton in concert a couple of years ago, he was a support act to 'America' and 'Chicago', they performed at the Palais in St. Kilda

Going to the 'Croc' or 'Hosies', could always get a blue at Hosies - LOL watching Lobby Llyod and Skyhooks, I come from Phillip Island, Shirley was building down there when I was, our paths never really crossed, his first marriage was to a girl from San Remo, one of the local fishermans daughters.

As I get older I am finding myself turning into what I saw as my cranky Father. I go crook at today's music, hipsters, hair buns on men, wearing of high cuffed trousers with shoes but no socks, and on it goes.
Conveniently forgetting my Dad's displeasure at my mullet, 3 day growth, faded jeans and Miller shirt, hooning in cars and so on. I would love to see what my sons rant about when they get to my age......

Turns out it was Lobby Lloyd, filling in on Bass. great night, froze our ar$es off on the way home...... someone yelled out 'Angry's Short' to which he replied ' i'm gunna get you cu#t' Good times

You were young enough to get into the Playroom at Tallebudgera on the Gold Coast - had some wild times. Saw the Radiators there. If you looked close enough to 18, you were in.
Hitched back many a ride to Brisbane, jumped the train to Deagon and walked home. I wouldn't do it now, not because of morals - I'm too fat and slow! Cheers!

You discover some vinyl in your record collection that has been lying dormant for decades. You study the covers that have not seen the light of day since you were a young man. You reminisce and smile about the times and memories that the music brings back to light. You slot the records back into the dark place from whence they came from without playing them, because you don't want to be dissapointed when you hear those sounds again.
Albums in question were Bob Seger's Stranger in Town and Night Moves... |
