Default Fitting an XR8 air intake snorkel to an XR6

Hello guys!

I bought an XR8 air intake snorkel for my XR6, it was going to be a nice complement to my new airbox and added duct to help force air down the snorkel. Now the main problem I am encountering is, I don't think the bonnet has enough clearance for the snorkel? Does the buldge on the V8s start where the air intake snorkel is? If so I believe that may be why it won't fit.

I still have the stock airbox and that may be stopping me from sitting it completely flush but even though, it flexs the rubber seal quite a bit. I believe it won't fit if it doesn't have the V8 buldge but I am not sure, can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link rancidpunx! I was also having issues with the pipe hitting the duct. Now I just need to buy a new air box and i'll be set!

I just installed the xr8 airbox into the g6et. I to had the airbox and snorkel hitting the intercooler piping. I was planing on just adding a piece of rubber to go between the 2.
Atleast until the cooler piping is upgraded.
