"Starting with the V8, pricing for the Mustang GT starts at $62,990 before on-roads, for which you get access to a 339kW/556Nm (33kW/26Nm up from the previous gen) 5.0-litre engine coupled with a manual ‘box.
This, by the way, is 4kW and 13Nm less than the US-spec Mustang GT. In automatic, leaked info says that price rises to $66,259. Chopping the roof off brings that up to $74,709. There’s no manual drop-top, just as in the current gen. Compare these prices to the $57,490, $59,990, and $65,916 (respectively) currently available, there’s a noticeable increase in pricing. But that comes with a noticeable improvement in both performance and spec." https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/201...d-specs-leaked

Leaked but not officially confirmed by Ford.
Interesting that the 2018 Eco is down 9 KWs as well. |

It's leaked info? Stop commenting, only comment once you have driven it!
Little more expensive [possibly] But still decent value for a v8 sports car. Only $166 extra per kilowatt. Unlike Ranger Raptors $2000 a kilowatt upgrade. Shame about the Pacific Sink or whatever it's called. |

I don't think the information is leaked. All the pricing is with the Dealers. It's a sizable increase but I think this is well worth it for the extra power, equipment and some upgraded materials for items such as the centre console. I'm not upgrading though as I've only had mine 2 years.

That's still a bargain compared to what Holden fans will pay for a 1SS Camaro.....
Over 15,000 sales in the past two years and now a major update, I recon the 10-speed auto will be No.1 gotta have option, can't wait to see the price of the Sport pack. Also, sounds like Ford has improved power deficiency caused by right header clearing the steering shaft. I can't wait to see some local tests and reviews, there seems to be a lot more ways to build a GT now.. Last edited by jpd80; 11-02-2018 at 09:52 AM. |

No, Track Pack is currently a $4,100 option and then only on the manual trans.
On the 2018, Performance Pack is available across manual and Auto... |

The 2.3 Eco is very responsive to tuning.
Could be a fun car to wheel around. |
