Ah the good old days when there was choice because those three magazines were published by different companies therefore you had three different opinions on motoring related maters. These days there is only once choice which comes in two titles and a lot of the content is copy and paste from overseas.

I think slowsnake may have made that statement with tongue firmly planted in cheek! It's a bit of a Vette fan's thing.

There was never an officially designated 1983 model Corvette. The C4 (pictured) was the 1984 model and the C4 cars built in '83 were all pre-production factory mules which were all supposedly destroyed. There were certainly new Corvettes available in 1983, however they were carryover 1982 models.

An interesting fact is that one of the 50-odd '83 built test mules actually survived somehow, and is now housed in the National Corvette Museum at Bowling Green. It's not recognised as an '83 model though.
